The YouTube Import feature allows you to transform any YouTube video with captions into an interactive language lesson. Simply paste a URL and start learning with engaging video content!

Getting Started 🏁​

Importing a YouTube video is incredibly simple:

  1. Navigate to the Create page
  2. Select the "Import YouTube" tab
  3. Paste the URL of any YouTube video
  4. Toggle the visibility switch if you want to make it public
  5. Click "Import YouTube"

That's it! The video and its transcript will be processed and added to your library as a lesson.

Supported Content 🌐​

Language Lit can import:

  • Any YouTube video with captions/subtitles
  • Videos in any language supported by our platform
  • Content of any length (though shorter videos work best for focused learning)

After Importing 🔍​

Once your YouTube video is imported:

  1. It will appear in the Lessons tab of your Lessons page
  2. You can immediately start watching and reading with all Language Lit features
  3. The video plays alongside its synchronized transcript
  4. All text is fully searchable and highlightable
