Learn from Movies and TV Shows! 🍿​

The Subtitles Import feature allows you to transform subtitle files from your favorite movies and TV shows into interactive language lessons. Upload SRT files and start learning authentic, conversational language!

Getting Started 🏁​

Importing subtitles is simple and quick:

  1. Navigate to the Create page
  2. Select the "Import Subtitles" tab
  3. Click the upload area or drag and drop your SRT file
  4. Add a cover image to make your subtitle lesson visually distinctive
  5. Click "Import Subtitles"

That's it! Your subtitles will be processed and added to your library.

Supported Formats 📄​

Currently, Language Lit supports:

  • SubRip Text files (.srt)

After Importing 🔍​

Once your subtitles are imported:

  1. They will appear in the Subtitles tab of your Lessons page
  2. You can immediately start reading and using all Language Lit features
  3. All text is fully searchable and highlightable
  4. Timestamps are preserved for reference

Learning with Subtitles 🎭​

Imported subtitles offer the full Language Lit experience:

  • Highlight any word or phrase to see translations
  • Save vocabulary items as flashcards for later review
  • Track your progress through the dialogue
