📁 Create a Collection

Organize Your Learning Materials! 🗂️​

Collections help you organize related lessons into meaningful groups, creating structured learning paths. With collections, you can build your own curriculum or share curated content with the community.

Getting Started 🏁​

Creating a new collection is quick and easy:

  1. Navigate to the Create page
  2. Select the "Collection" tab
  3. Enter a title for your collection
  4. (Optional) Add a description to explain the collection's purpose
  5. (Optional) Upload a cover image to make your collection visually distinctive
  6. Click "Create Collection"

Building Your Collection 📚​

After creating your collection, you can start adding lessons:

  1. From your new collection page, click "Add Lesson"
  2. Select from your existing lessons to add to the collection
  3. Alternatively, create new lessons specifically for this collection

Adding Lessons from Content Pages 🔄​

You can also add lessons to your collections while browsing:

  1. When viewing any lesson, click the "Add to Collection" button
  2. Select your collection from the dropdown menu
  3. The lesson will be instantly added to your collection

Managing Your Collection ⚙️​

Keep your collections organized with these features:

  • Remove Lessons - Remove items without deleting them from your library
  • Edit Details - Update the collection title, description, or cover image
  • Delete Collection - Remove collections you no longer need (lessons remain in your library)

Sharing Your Collection 🌐​

Share your carefully curated collections with the Language Lit community:

  1. From the Lessons page, find your collection in the Collections tab
  2. Click the menu icon on the collection card
  3. Select "Edit" to enter edit mode
  4. Toggle the "Public" switch to make your collection visible to others

When you share a collection, other users can:

  • View all public lessons within your collection
  • Subscribe to your collection to add it to their library
  • Benefit from your organization and curation

Collection Ideas 💡​

Not sure what collections to create? Here are some ideas:

  • Thematic Collections - Group lessons by topic (food, travel, business)
  • Difficulty Progression - Arrange lessons from beginner to advanced
  • Grammar Focus - Collect lessons that practice specific grammar points
  • Vocabulary Building - Group lessons with related vocabulary
  • Cultural Insights - Curate lessons about cultural aspects of your target language
